The new Leica M10 was announced today.
It looks like a lot of little things were done to improve this legendary line of cameras.
The sum total of these improvements should translate into a wonderful user experience.

InspirationIt’s the eve before Leica releases the M10 and I find myself contemplating film again.
Wait, what?!!!
Oh yes.
One of the things I did over the holidays was try to catch up a little on my family photo book projects.
Yesterday I received the completed “2014” book from the publisher. As it turns out, in 2014 I shot quite a lot of film with a Leica M3, Mamiya 7II, and Mamiya RZ67 (I also shot quite a lot of digital with a Leica M9, Leica M240, and Nikon D800).
Guess what? The film images look better in print. Especially the medium format (Mamiya) ones.

Inspiration, Reader SmackdownWhen the M240 arrived, I predicted right here on this blog that after its successor is eventually released the M240 will quickly be forgotten, whereas the M9 will continue to be coveted by many.
Although some readers supported my prediction, many directed a lot of anger at me.
Well, interestingly, the next M is now being called the M10 by Leica.
It’s as if the M240 never existed.
