Incidentally, I did own the 24/1.4 as well. It was a very painterly lens, much like the 28/1.4, but the 28 is sharper wide open and has an intangible rendering that I’m really enjoying…
The 28mm f/1.4 is my favorite Nikon AF lens….it’s amazing. I am with you. Painterly but sharp…a really nice combo of traits…
