These three photos make quite a nice triplet. I much prefer this natural style of portraiture than the horrible, horrible studio look. Blech.
Hi Peter! How about a “teaching moment”? When cropping a photo like this, how do you decide if something in the background is distracting rather than adding an element of interest to the photo? I think some people would see that drainpipe as a distraction and you obviously didn’t. I really like the portrait, I’m just curious about your thought process.
