Believe it or not, that’s exactly what came to mind as I clicked the shutter.
Thank you Pascal.
Wow! I hadn’t considered b&w film with the Mamiya 7ii. I’m a little too addicted to Portra and Fuji 400H. But I’m gonna have to order some 120 tri-x soon.

Tri-X goes well with everything 🙂
Thank you Bijan.
Okay, now you are just showing off. 🙂 This is gorgeous.
Thank you Karen… I was lucky.
Amazing shot. Having fun with watching the World Championships in Brasil?
Let’s see… 3 kids playing “the beautiful game” several times a week, a full time job, and time spent messing around with film in my basement…hmmm…
No.
No time to watch the World Championships. Not one minute. In fact, I’m routinely falling asleep if I stop moving for 30 seconds!
;o) yep 3 kids alone can be a full time job. Time management rules. But at least you have a ‘film’ basement. Wish I had room for a analog ‘man’ cave.
“film basement”?… ha ha… I have a 60 cm by 80 cm table top with a changing bag in an unfinished and mouldy basement. It’s quite embarrassing really, but if I can develop film under these circumstances, anybody can.
To add: I’m usually developing my film beside a pile of laundry…
hah the romance of film.
I’m kitchen guy myself.
That’s why a digital camera is appealing sometimes (Time) I did notice you mention the possibility of another digital, sort of hoping it’s the A7s as Iam looking at it and T but so far a little disappointed in the T IQ wise, even though it’s a great design.
Interestingly, the image quality of the T looks to be excellent, though I haven’t handled any files directly.
Beautiful in every respect.
Thank you Calvin.
Such a beautiful picture.
The dynamic range in the picture would give many digital cam problems. Looks like a lot of light in the sun and deep shadows. Did you have to ‘work’ a lot to get the light down or shadows up or did the dr of Tri-x cover it easily.
Tri-X did 99% of the work…. amazing really.
Are you still using HC 110 developer with you tri x?
Really beautiful! I find particularly interesting the hair that frame your daughter’s face.
Thank you Umberto. I was hoping the breeze would cooperate, and it did!
Wow – Sublime face expression with that hair / reminds me of Botticelli : http://www.google.com/culturalinstitute/asset-viewer/MQEeq50LABEBVg?utm_source=google&utm_medium=kp&hl=fr&projectId=art-project
