This is from Test Roll #1 (evaluating my M2-R and Voigtländer 40/1.4).
I thought I was shooting @ f/1.4, but realized too late I was @ f/2.8… hence the underexposure.
Still, I like the moment that was caught; in fact I like it more than anything else I’ve done lately.

Thanks George. It’s technically atrocious but that momentary flicker of emotion is something that always eludes me when I’m using anything other than a rangefinder.

No not joking. Been following your ‘journey’ peripherally for what it’s worth and I’ve always thought your rangefinder work was more soulful and expressive (organic?) The Nikon Z work was sterile and cold even though technically superior. I’ve made the same observations with my work too. Now I just shoot with whatever makes me happy, life’s too short, man!
Ain’t that the truth?!?! I pretty much came to that conclusion when I sold everything and went back to a film M and a simple Voigtlander lens. You understand, for sure.
