      1. Hi Peter,
Good to see you and family are safe and you are posting cool shots and getting back into Leica early film M bodies. Do you mind sharing the info on where to get something similar? Assuming they have more clean bodies in stock.
Looking for nice photos taken with this beauty!

        1. Hi Dimitry, thanks for your kind thoughts.

I’m getting a few emails about this camera. There is no secret place to find these. You will sporadically find them in all the sorts of places. I purchased mine off of eBay after an exhaustive search. It was a gamble. Since many owners of previous M film cameras have – quite frankly – abused them, it’s getting more and more difficult to find them in this condition. I am happy to say that I will look after this one.

If you do find a truly mint M2 or M3, be prepared to pay dearly for it. In my case, I had recently sold ALL of my Nikon gear, which helped make the purchase possible.

          1. Peter -thanks for a detailed response. I agree with all the points you made about scarcity and high prices for pristine condition ones.
Good luck taking pictures with it and have fun! I hope you hold on to this one forever!

  1. If you can get your hands on one in mint condition KEEP it,

My M3 here has almost doubled in price in 3 years and only bettered by the Pakon F135 scanner I use which has more than doubled if fact tripled over 4 years

The first M10 will be half price in 2 years my guess. FILM so good.
