i still have and use mine — and its not corroded. lucky but always overjoyed with the unique look it portrays. and grateful leica made it.
Lucky you! I still have mine too, but it started corroding…! I missed the warranty, but it is still for me the most impressive camera so far…even when diva-like and not up to date…unique look! 🙂

I’d happily use one today – the only thing that is unacceptable to me is the unnecessarily noisy shutter. I wonder if there is a fix for that. I also wonder if you could, if you wanted, transplant the M10-P shutter into it.
I don’t mind about the effective ISO limit of 2000. I don’t mind about the slow frame rate. I don’t mind about having to use slower cards. I slightly mind the shallow buffer – but that’s not the deal breaker.
And 18Mpx is by no means out-dated. It was the ‘4K’ of its day, so to speak. Even today that level of resolution is plenty. Not outstanding, but plenty.
Same as Henry, still have mine and also not corroded. Maybe this helps I always never shoot over f4, I don’t live in a humid climate and I never clean the sensor. (Not sure if those things stop the corrosion or not but when used with the 50 Lux it still has no equal in natural light. Saying all that though my M3 is the best camera I have ever owned.

And 18Mpx is by no means out-dated. Even today the resolution and color is superb. Right now i use two sony cameras, one -a7s- and one -a7- from the first series, because of weight and ergonomics. For professonionell Work I need the more reliabel an faster buffer and frame rate of the sony
s . Resolution and color is good, but not outstanding. But Im still missing my M9 P. I slowly move out from professionell work now and keep looking for a used M9 camera with exchanced sensor for reasonable money.Peter Hollenbach
Hi guys. Still have my M9. Been part of my journey. But journeys end and new journeys begin. But as the journey closes, if I were to pass it on to another, I suppose someone here may be the right fit.
