Fantastic shot. There’s also the evocation of those warm summer days where everything seems just a touch surreal and displaced from time. Childhood feelings. 😉
I could have fun with a more intellectual critique (e.g. notice the scene as a whole, where the action is frozen, where the silos in the background are silent and motionless witnesses towering over the players, how the clouds – as massive as they are far away – tower over the silos, how the lines on the field echo the lines of the fence, etc.). But I won’t. 😛
Thank you Karim! I’m glad you find this evocative (of childhood) and are pleased with the composition, as I feel the same when I look at it.
Hey Peter, these GFX shots are head and shoulders above everything for colour and tonality. It really jumps out! Also feels like your composition really syncs with 3:4 too!
Hey David! Thanks for the nice comment and so sorry for the late reply… I only realized just now, after seing James’ response below, that I never responded to you. I’ve now moved to the 100S and I’m really enjoying it.
Beautiful work. I was just wondering if you used a particular fujifilm preset to get to this colour or whether you started from scratch?
Hi James, and thanks! This started out with Fuji’s Classic Chrome applied. From there, I post processed it to taste. Don’t recall now what steps I took, but frankly the Fuji pre-sets are good enough that often that’s all that’s needed.
