This is one of my favorite R portraits…great light and she’s positively regal, Olympian, wild and strong… Hera, updated, modern, and (as you say) naturally turned out. Did you just happen to “catch” that expression or did she know you were there, camera to eye?

In answer to your question, she was totally aware (it’s difficult not to be with a D850/105 pointing at you!) but I managed to catch her off guard between shots… it’s this sort of unfiltered moment I look for to produce a “natural” shot.
