Lovely—both image and young lady! You showed the nicest qualities of twilight: soft glow in highlights and shadows, giving just a hint of drama behind the tenderness of the subject. I think too many photographers would give in to the temptation to kick up the exposure in pp, feeling that the imge is too dark. But this beauty and reinforces the touch of ambiguity in the gaze and expression. Nice, Peter.
Thanks Henry. Your comments re: exposure are spot on. The faint, gentle light on her face was all that remained, and that’s precisely the time of day/night I wanted to capture for this portrait.
You have to stop posting 105 pictures…. I’m going to get sucked in!
You guys want to see something cool? Go to Flickr, search for the user Bokeh Uldis and look at his Meopta 1.3/50 album. Amazing.
Dave, I’m still not sure whether I want this lens.
I’m on the fence. I have the Tamron 70-200 2.8 G2, and it does some incredible work for portrait sessions, but I’m not a fan of the size and weight. I just really enjoy working with a prime.
Not sure about that, but thank you kindly.
Great! Wonderful skintone! You know how to make things and persons „ shine“
Thank you. This was photographed @ f/1.4.
