This is the best Nikon DSLR camera I’ve ever used.
(I’ve previously owned and extensively used the Nikon D70, D200, D40, D3, D3S, D800E, Df, and D810.)
I never thought I’d go back to a crop sensor camera, but there you go.
I don’t even know who you are…:)
Must be good to give up Full Frame, i’m still happy with my D800, but the new Sony’s are looking awesome
It’s my favourite format (one can also call it Super 35).
The formula I go by, if I had access to more equipment, would be this: the narrower the field of view, the smaller the sensor should be, until you get to a file that breaks apart too soon when enlarged. So you have a Leica sensor for lenses up to 135mm, then a half-frame sensor for lenses up to 300mm, then Micro 4/3 for 300mm+.
But ‘crop’ sensors (which is a silly term but whatevs) are the sweet spot overall, IMHO.
OTOH, the Leica format (which one can also call VistaVision) does have the advantage of being able to use lenses meant for APS-C (half-frame) with a 1.4x TC. So your 50-135mm becomes in fact a 75-200mm and you loose a stop.
