I tweaked the colour — to remove the green tint — as recommended by the demanding viewers of this free blog.

LOL…Someone is touchy!
(Glad I didn’t chime in with my 2 cents!)
Anyway, looking at both versions, I do prefer this one–glad you left both up.
Sincerely,
A Demanding Viewer
Thanks Mark 🙂
Now that I know you’re taking requests, I demand that you do comparison shots with the M9, M240, Pentax 645D, Sony A7II, Hasselblad 500C/M, Fujichrome 400X, Ektachrome 100, Tech Pan, Eastman 5247, Kodachrome 64 and Panatomic-X. I am too busy to do these for myself. Besides, you should be grateful that I’m giving you all these cool ideas which will increase traffic to your blog.
lol, yes… thanks for your “help” 🙂
On a serious note, I’ve already done all the tests… the M9 wins.
Best news I have heard all year. My M-E arrived yesterday!
Congratulations.
Addendum: Thanks Karim, for signing.
Done.
BTW I do not pretend to be that discerning all the time. However, there is no point to Leica being Leica if it does not stay true to a fundamental vision. If Apple did not have a fundamental vision, we would have either no iPhone or a really clumsy one.
Sometimes, the new technology is better, sometimes not. Remember how some engines used to have alloy heads on cast iron blocks? It sounded like an upgrade, but was done for cost savings, not for performance. And there was an increased risk of cracked heads (which is ironic in the light of the cracked sensors). All-alloy engines are of course great, but more expensive.
My view: Leica should not be trendy, but instead, create the trend. I think that if they keep the M ‘pure’, they can experiment. Just like they are doing with the T, and with deserved success. I think Leica is going to embarrass the bigger manufacturers now and then, but one step at a time.
Just IMHO…
lol it’s attack of the internet at the moment! an artist presents their work with the colour they want. People can react, complain, comment, try and correct all they like; your photography is your expression, their reaction is their own. It’s not about presenting something familiar, or learned from a text book, colour has always been a medium of expression. I don’t think an artwork is successful unless some people don’t like it, let them.
lol, I didn’t so much mind the comments about the green tint in the first version of this, as they were communicated in a constructive and respectful manner. But yes, some days, it is a tough day “in the office”.

Perhaps, then, you would consider signing my Open Letter to Leica?
