Every end is a beginning.

“I’m writing you, to catch you up on places I’ve been
And you held this letter
Probably got excited
But there’s nothing else inside it
Didn’t have a camera by my side this time
Hoping I would see the world through both my eyes
Maybe I will tell you all about it
When I’m in the mood to lose my way with words.”

Every end is indeed a new beginning!
Bo
I love this photo
This photograph is a beautiful accomplishment. The composition is stunning…all the more so because of the technical achievement with diminished light, movement, and setting. A life moment for sure. The words are inspiring but superfluous. The image you created already said it better. Best wishes.
Have you seen “Once Upon a Time in Anatolia”? A wonderful film, set very much in a similar time to this photograph.
There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time to shoot and a time for peace of mind.
Is this “The End”….?
Same question here Andrew. Everyrhing is fine Peter?
You don´t realize what you have until it´s gone!
Ending!
Ending?
Never-ending?
Hoping!
Loving!
Thank you Peter, for all your love you shared with us showing your photos, fighting for the right answers, for your empathy, for your patience!
Andreas
Crossings
Day crossing through the corridor
Of evening into the full thrall of night
Ribbon of asphalt already dark
But for its yellow seams. Leaving.
Red taillights only to frame her stage
The actress in deep rose and shadow
The River of Heaven swirling
Across the sky in a sparkling gown
A forever array of crossings
Endless dawns, endless dusks, endlessly far.
Hi Peter, I certainly hope that the end is not that near, in a literal sense…I have enjoyed your photography, your muse (your family), and your thoughts…..
All the best, and keep posting! The end may be out there, but hopefully far out in the distance, well behind the headlights of incoming vehicles and over the horizon….
I’m eagerly awaiting for new beginning. End of your amazing work is not acceptable for me as your follower. Good luck Peter in everything your mind is up to.
It this is the last post Peter, just to say thanks for sharing all that you have over the years. Your knowledge, eye for capturing a moment and shared experiences have all been a pleasure to read and have helped me a great deal. It takes a lot of time and commitment to maintain a daily blog, community dialogue and lively discussion as you have and I’m sure I speak for everyone here when I say thanks!
I’ll continue with my daily click in the hope that I’m wrong! I wish you all the best. 🙂
James
Hi Peter,
Thanks for all the wonderful pictures.
Well it looks like this is “The End” 😦
Thanks Peter for the great “moments”. The pleasure has been all mine (ours) since discovering your site and looking into your world. I wish you and your family all the health and happiness life can muster. Enjoy yourself, continue to enjoy photography and……….if you surprise us all by posting in the next little while….even better :-).
The end? Really? That would be a shame…
Thomas
Dear Peter,
I can’t guess what happened with “the end”. I’m sure you do keep loving photography. So I’d dare to say this not “the end”, just an “end”.
May I thank you for all those years sharing your thoughts, your knowledge, your art, your moments.
Really hope to hear from you soon.
All my best.
Your friend,
Luiz Paulo
Peter,
You seem too thoughtful and sensitive a person to simply disappear in such a dramatic fashion. You have become endeared to so many for sharing your deep love of photography as well as of your wonderful family. But If you share nothing further, then thank you so much for all you’ve given.
Best to you,
Henry
Hi Peter , i hope you are doing good and that you will continue doing your blog, it was been a huge inspiration to myself and many others. Greeting from Germany Marc
Thanks for you lovely pictures.
Hi Peter,
I do not know what happened to you, but I hope you and your family are OK. Your blog has a lot of fans (also silent ones) and is so inspiring that it means a lot to us but for you and your family there are certainly things that are more important.
I do hope that you are not ending the blog and if you are that it is not because of dissapointments you encountered on the web.
If you are giving your very best, as I am sure you do, sometimes negative comments (or comments that your interpret that way) can leave behind a very bad feeling. But all the very positive comments and all the respectful and joyful feelings all the rest of use have (and they outnumber the others by a very big margin I am sure) are the things you should consider.
You had the courage to take “life litlle moments” to a higher level. You are not just another gear freak but you actually create something beautiful. I am sure that if external comments are the problem, you will get over it.
Everybody is speculating about your “end”. Whatever is the matter I would be nice to just here that you are fine.
Kind regards
Peter
Looks like you are on the road, no doubt on holiday. Hope you are having fun!
Hello Peter,
Take your time! Hopefully everything is ok with your loved ones!
Every end is a new beginning indeed. I’m only hoping we can be part of it…
Take care Peter!
Deepest regards, Jeffrey
Well! Like the others I don’t know what is happening here. I have followed you for many years since you were you were what……..(QIDforsomeone?)
If this is the end of your posting, then thank you very much for what you have done, and for your inspirational photographs, and for the very intimate insights into your life.
Very best regards,
Cadder
Great photo – love the line of the hills, colours, and twilight. Looking at your image reminds me of the old jazz standard “Blame it on my youth” for whatever reason… Just picked up a new M-E a couple of days ago for myself and I have to say that it’s a remarkable everyday image capturing device – really about a good as it gets. Thanks for all your efforts and sharing your work.
I came back to this page as I hadn’t heard from you in a while. I looked at that image and thought “I love this photo”, and then saw that that is exactly what I wrote 3 weeks ago when you posted it.
I hope that you and the family are having a lovely summer.
It’s kinda funny that this is a picture from an M8 and no one has commented about that ;).
I could imagine that running a page even at this relatively small scale is a time consuming job, and it’s not fun if
you’ve been at it for long and people reading the site craving for more and more stuff all the time.. So some time off is needed
for motivation and creativity to come back.
I would guess that Peter is still here…as the reply posts are made available for public reading :).
And I will look forward to when and if You will write some stuff again as i find it enjoyable to read compared to the masses
of pixel peeping sites that is out there.
Have fun and enjoy life 🙂
Best regards
Christian
From Norway.
Peter, well it does seem that this may be the end of the blog. I hope that your passion and caring finds a way back to this great community. More importantly, I hope that all is well in health and spirit for yourself and your family. When we last communicated, we both expressed a desire to meet in person one day, and I hope that our paths do in fact cross at the right moment. It’s been great to share thoughts with you, and I hope that the time away from the blog brings new joys and new beginnings for you and yours.
I really hope that this isn’t the end. Many of us truly look forward to your thoughts and photography.
If this is the end then I will be sure to enjoy my next beer in your honor…..
Cheers to you sir!
