Both the TS and 180/4.5 for the first time unless I missed something along the way.

While I have some limited notion of what a TS does and can accomplish, I’ve never used one. I’m unsure what this would look like straight up. Did you use it in this image to limit dof? At risk of trying the patience of the real photographers that follow here, any interest in doing a short tutorial?

Great question Greg. Ultimately, my goal will be to align points of focus along an unconventional (and diagonal) strip of in-focus elements, so that — in the case of portraiture — the final image will take on a surreal appearance.

And yes, this is the first time I’ve used the 180/4.5 AND the t/s accessory.

Perhaps not a great example Peter though sounds very similar to a “lensbaby” lens principle? http://www.lensbaby.com

Greg I am with you, understanding this further would be interesting. Conventional, non bellowed tilt shifts are used in architecture photography to create a wide angle from my understanding and in some portraiture as well….i think? 🙂

Now…I’m about to go and have coffee with Thorsten Overgaard and then all day masterclass with Australian Photographer Jesse Marlow…..so a pretty amazing day for me on the photography front (which is good since I have barely picked up my camera for about 4 months!)!!

Hi Peter, I’m really enjoying your recent film photos, and it is reminding me just how good film can be.

Quick question though, I thought you mentioned in a comment in one of your previous posts (when you acquired the M3) that you sold your Mamiya setup to fund the purchase? Clearly that isn’t the case though, which I’m thankful for. I’m looking forward to seeing more of what you can produce with that system.

      Hi Gavin.

In answer to your question, I sold Leica gear to fund the Mamiya, Leica M3, Plustek, and D800E/Zeiss Otus purchases. The Mamiya has been the big surprise for me — I love what I’m getting out of it.
