Ever since I acquired the Mamiya RZ67, I have been searching for a specific accessory item for it.
The trouble is, it is difficult to find a used example of this piece. And brand new, it sells for more than what I paid for my entire (used) Mamiya kit.
However, last week I found a mint copy of what I was looking for, at an exceptionally low price. I thought it was too good to be true, until it arrived this week.

Pop Quiz: Can you identify the accessory in the image below?

(the above image was taken with my new digital set-up: the Nikon D800E and Zeiss Otus 55mm @ f/1.4)

Looks like a bellow possibly with a macro lens attached?
I’ve just read your word tags!!!
Easy, that’s the NI 701 RZ Tilt Shift Adapter Peter.
After all that effort of posting I then notice it’s in the tags, spotted Andy.
AE Prism not sure if you already had, by the way I am enjoying the 800e shots so far
The AE Prism came as part of the used package I purchased… it’s invaluable as far as I’m concerned.
I took mine off I hated it
Luckily, we have choice…
T&S accessory will be very nice to emphasis DOF or correct/incorrect perspective. Nice acquisition!
It is indeed the Tilt/Shift accessory. I’ve taken a test shot using Fuji instant film and will post it tomorrow.
—Peter.
EDIT – Here is the promised test shot: http://photographsbypeter.com/2014/04/04/glenfiddich-window-portrait-tiltshift-test-shot/
Just reflections or there’s some amount of purple fringe in the picture?
Luiz, I can’t be sure to where you are referring, but if you are referring to the metallic parts, then on 100% I can see some (minimal) purple fringing, but that’s of course common at f/1.4.
Lucky you. I am still looking for a used T/S adapter. Of course it’s easy to buy a new one, but I don’t want to sell one of my kidneys to do so.
If you had contacted me this morning after I posted this, I could have directed you to another used one… but it has already sold.
Thank you Peter. But I already purchased the Zeiss Touit 12mm and the Fujinon 56mm for my X-Pro1 just some days ago. This months financial limits have been reached.
