Prosophos Images on display at the Stephen Bartels Gallery!

Inspiration, Q&A

I am very pleased to announce that my work is now being featured at the Stephen Bartels Gallery in London, England.

It is an honour to be part of the distinguished group of photographers Stephen has pulled together under the auspices of the SBG.

If you find yourself in London, please drop by Stephen’s fine gallery and have a look at the amazing images on display.  And, if you happen to spot my humble contributions, please feel free to take a picture and send it my way ;).

—Peter.

    Peter,

A sincere congratulations…I am glad you have decided to make this exciting news public!

A well-deserved honour ( <– Notice I used the British spelling; it is England after all!)

    🙂

Thank you so much Mark! As you know, I’ve been sitting on this development for almost a month, and I was debating whether to announce it all. But then I realised (British spelling :)) that SBG will be organising (British spelling) a showing at Leica Mayfair in a few days, so I thought it would be nice to give Stephen some publicity.

Your timing is impeccable Peter. I arrive into London on September 30 for 4 days and most definitely will go in to see these wonderful images first hand. I will also be visiting the National Portrait Gallery not too far from there.

Congratulations, well deserved and happy that people in the broader community can also experience your work.

    Regards

    Andrew

Thank you Jeffrey. One can never feel deserving of this sort of thing, but it certainly feels good I must say.

I don’t have any plans to visit soon. Maybe one day…

I suspect there is little chance of finding myself… in London, or here, for that matter, but then, that’s not what you meant. 😉 This is just brilliant! Good for you and excellent choice by Mr. Bartels.

Congratulations Peter. A great feather in your cap.

…And some well chosen images by the gallery if I do say so myself!

    Cheers,

    Jason.

Yes, on both counts dear Jason.

SBG suggested several of my images and we narrowed them down to the current three, to emphasize my interest in portraiture. As it turns out, one of them is a fitting tribute to my recently departed grandmother.

Next month, three more will be placed in the rotation. I’m thinking I may use some of the more abstract ones… though any suggestions from you (and others reading this) would be welcomed.

Peter how about a swimming theme with your children….I can think of three images with caps and goggles that come to mind. However it might be a bit narrow on the theme. Just a thought.

You have so many great images though…

Well,,,you asked so, humbly, I feel the best three to compliment and follow up the first set (build on showcasing your work without trying to trump the first set) would be (using title’s indicated on your ‘front end’ page): Sun-bathers, The Whirlwind, 2013-05-21 (beach / swimmers).

Oh, and, how many photogs does it take to critique and edit your work once you open Pandora’s Box? …Let the games begin.
        🙂

I havent’ been visiting your site as frequently of late and have paid the penalty. I was in London last week and, had I known, would have visited the gallery and seen your work on show. Many congratulations on this increased exposure of your splendid photographic work.
