This little girl certainly has an air of intensity about her in this image with those eyes!
I think it was worth the effort. The lighting looks complex, but the focus and eyes are absolutely perfect. And the way the photo is framed by the artist’s dark hair–outstanding!

Andrew, this one required a lot of effort for several reasons. One example: think “textures” (some that required aggressive treatment, some that needed careful restraint, and still others that were not touched at all). The original shot had the requisite magic I look for, but it was a “diamond in the rough” and needed to be coaxed out. The mixed lighting didn’t help either.
