The range of tones here i really like Peter. Going from his jet black hair into the different tones of his coat/jacket was the first thing that struck me about this image.
And yes…still in amazement at your focusing “on the run” particularly with this lens.
btw I have just made a decision on which way to go (ME, M9,, M240, etc) and purchased the Monochrom!! Arrives in 2 weeks 🙂
Interestingly it had the same issue you had and is just being rectified with Leica now (it’s x demo, 260 actuations but had this issue). Fortunately for me being fixed before buying it.
Congratulations Andrew!
I’m so happy for you. I believe you’ll be very satisfied with this camera, and I wish you many years of enjoyment!

Hey, great news, Andy!
And nice pic Peter! I am curious why it was tricky…getting the right composition, or staying out of site?
🙂
Greetings from snowy dEdmonton.

Mark, why it was tricky:
-shooting at (1) minimum distance (2) with a long lens (3) at f/2 (this is not cropped)
-off-center composition (had to get focus while he was in the centre, then rotate myself and the camera while slightly leaning my body back to compensate for his forward movement).
-subject veered away at the last moment
-shoot without being noticed

…yah, figured it was something like that. 🙂
