Nice line up for sure Peter. Did you sell your M film camera?
I have been debating the the MM for some time, but instead bought the MP to compliment my M9 and beaten up old M3. Oh, I just bought the Fuji X100S a few days ago and testing it out.

    Peter,
I’ve enjoyed your writing and tend to agree with you regarding CCD vs. CMOS. I have a Fuji XPro which makes me happy but it’s still not a Leica. I also will continue to shoot with my M3 and M6ttl.
I’m leaning towards an M9 or ME and wanted your opinion as to whether you could tell any appreciable difference between the two. (I know, they are basically the same.) Still though, any noticable differences? Thanks for your time.

Hi Warren, thanks for the kind note.

I don’t notice any differences between the M9 and M-E output, and – as you write – there really shouldn’t be any, given they use the same sensor.

      Peter.

Thanks Peter for your quick response.
Trying to decide between an M-E and a slightly used M9. I enjoy your site and insight. Keep it up.

Debating on saving up for an MM? Opinion? I shoot my M9 B&W in JPEG and color in DNG. I seem top prefer B&W images more and more these days. So I’m wondering about a camera just dedicated to B&W
