I resisted the temptation to crop away the top and bottom portions and present this as a pseudo-panoramic horizontal strip… something about the original image (as presented here) appears very surreal, very much like a “dream”. Or perhaps a diorama.

I like the “Dreamy Look” from your Summilux @1.4 I use a Heliopan Vario ND filter in bright light because I like this look with the foreground bokeh.
Thank you. I’m using a B+W one…
Lovely shot…
Thank you Dave!
I also like this kind of shoot! So this dreamy look is caused by the ND filter?
Thanks Jeroen! The “dreamy” look is secondary to shooting at f/1.4. The ND filter is used to cut down on the light so that I can shoot wide open (the M9 shutter goes up to 1/4000 max… without an ND filter, the photos at f/1.4 on a bright day would be overexposed – even if shooting at the maximum shutter speed).
Thank you for the explanation which make sense!
I like this version of a field of dreams but do find myself wondering how it might look as panoramic image as well. Nicely done!
