   Hi Peter,

   There is no such thing as a better image than this. I spend money on equipment just to record people and most importantly my son. I know you have written on this topic recently.

   As you know, I started learning my new M9 recently and not to highjack this thread, but I am wondering if you are at all tempted by the new Nikon, Canon and Fuji offerings.

      So nice to hear from you again! Hope all is well my friend.

      I’ve been following recent developments, and have been impressed by the specs and versatility of all the new offerings.

      Yet, I haven’t been tempted. Not sure why, really, other than the obvious: I feel more connected to my photography when shooting with a rangefinder.

   In relation to Matt’s comment I would just reiterate your point about rangefinders and feeling more connected to your photography. Certainly in my case, this was something I didn’t even realise I was missing until I began to shoot with a rangefinder. I was happy with a DSLR, happier still with the X100 but nothing close to what I feel shooting a rangefinder, be it Yashica Electro 35, Fed 3 or M9.

   As an aside, you don’t need me to fell you your doing a fine job with the daily posts, I know how difficult it can be to do even a weekly one…..Cheers Jason

      Thanks Jason. I don’t know if I’ll always be able to post something daily, but I’m closing in on a year now and so far, so good.

   I agree with you and Jason’s comments about being more connected with the M9. I have an NEX-7 as a backup but I find that I seldom use it at home (use at work).

   I’ve considered buying a Nikon D800E only because I love shooting landscapes and feel it would be almost equal to a medium format camera.

   1. 

      That 800E is probably the most exciting of the new crop of cameras.
