I met Marwaan while I was photographing this corner of the street, which was lit up by some lovely late afternoon sunlight.  He asked me if he ruined the shot when he entered the scene and I told him no, but then quickly asked him if he wanted his portrait done.  Marwaan graciously said yes and the result is what you see here.

While chatting, I learned Marwaan had had a great day at work and was on his way home when our paths collided.  Thanks Marwaan, for making my day a little brighter too, by agreeing to have your photo taken.

Honey’s Mommy is Home.

Almost got out to photograph the St. Patrick’s Parade today, but it’s been intermittently raining outside.  Between that, and my right knee, I have had no motivation to move.

The rain didn’t stop R from going to get us a coffee though.  Here we see Honey taking notice of R’s return.  Speaking of Honey, she’s still beating the odds.  Sleeps a lot more, but seems to be comfortable — and even playful — at times.

Anyway, back to the weather.  It won’t be long until spring arrives and, with it, my motivation to photograph (?)

And of course, there’s the ever-present-recent USA threat of Canada’s annexation.  Maybe by spring I’ll find myself in the role of war photographer.

I hope not.

Family Portrait.

On this Family Day weekend.

Up until now we hadn’t had a photo together for over a decade. We thought it would be a good idea to do this while our dog Honey was still with us.

(Honey has heart failure and we were told she only has 6-12 months more to live. That was 13 months ago.)

And besides, what else is there to do while a snowstorm rages on outside?
