I actually have Banksy’s Balloon Girl as a large tattoo on my left leg to remind me that I survived a broken childhood by holding onto hope.
This photo is fantastic, by the way. I love how the woman holding the sign appears to be holding onto whatever hope she has left.
The word “iconic” is overused, but Balloon Girl is truly iconic.
