  1. Hi Peter,

I don’t see too many M9 posts anymore, and there won’t be any from me. I too kmy M9 out to try and teach my son how to use a rangefinder, but alas my sensor shows black down the right hand side of the image. Reading about it I believe my M9 is now only a paper weight.

I did try and send it in to have the sensor replaced but no one in Sough Africa was willing to undertake the shipping so I gave up.

Time to sell me lenses I guess. Will be sorry to let go of the 1.2 Hexanon, even though you fell our of love with it.

    Take care
    Guy

    1. Hey Guy! Stick around here, you’ll see plenty more M9 posts, ha ha. I keep getting pulled back.

Sorry to hear about your M9 becoming a paper weight. That’s my fear as well.

I think you misunderstand my position on the 60/1.2 however. I actually still like the lens, I just didn’t think it was worth the price of admission once its value reached stratospheric heights. It’s a shame if you have to sell it. Why not hold on to it and use it on a mirrorless body?
