It’s difficult (for me) to get this kind of shot when I’m using an SLR or mirrorless… those cameras always seem to be intrusive (which adversely influences the subject) or a step behind (which results in a missed shot). With a rangefinder, I usually have more luck in freezing the moment I want.
Very nice shot. The subject will appreciate this photo more and more as the years go by, if not now. How many people have good photos taken of them? Studio portraits cannot replace real life, no matter how much they charge. 😉
