↑Leica M9 (CCD Lives! – Prosophos Open Letter to Leica) + Leica 90mm Summicron APO.
Maybe I’m seeing things but only the M9 can take a shot like this. And I’m not talking about the composition, or the discrete nature of the camera. That texture – perhaps not as crunchy as an interpositive film print – is something I don’t think I will see from a CMOS. Either way, it is a nice photo, but the M9 does add that little something extra IMO.
I’ve been trying to say that very same thing… for YEARS. But most people don’t see it, so I’m labelled a kook, a crank, a relic.
Peter, you remind us how nicely the CCD can faithfully render beautiful light on nice skin. So real, so lovely you can almost touch it.
Thanks Henry. When the light is right, the M9 just sings.
A wonderful example for the beauty of CCD and I totally agree with all of you still love my M9
Thank you kindly Andreas.
