What I did learn from comparing “The runner” and “The runners”: on the first one there is this awesome angle and the vanishing point helps to bring a dynamic into the object (the runner), similar to the “The Cyclist”! “The runner” draws more in the image, while “The runners” roll/pass by and the background there”gives” too much distraction so that the runners “disappear”( ” somehow: “get lost on the shuffle”-can´t explain it better!).
