Funny enough, I contacted the Toronto Police last year and asked them if they wanted me to photograph their officers “on the beat”. They had a look at my images and said sure.
A few weeks later, the ice storm hit and the city was in chaos and without power for a number of days.
I’m embarrassed to say that I never followed up with them. Partly because of the interruption, but also partly because I feared what the loss of my anonymity would bring. I didn’t want to ruin a good thing, so to speak.
