I saw Alfonso Cuarón’s film Gravity last night, starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney.
I don’t normally post about cinema on this site, but this is an exceptional film.
Simply stunning, in every way.

Thanks for sharing Peter. I saw a clip of the movie on a talk show and thought that I want to see this movie. Now, I’ll be sure to go.
I’m still mentally processing each scene.
Mr. Cuarón wanted to make it a completely (or mostly) silent movie, and I believe his initial artistic instincts were correct. It would have been (more) terrifying. But commercially it probably would end up being less successful.
Be that as it may, this is a remarkable movie, and I enjoyed it exactly as it is. And to make it relevant to my little photography site, I will say it is visually beautiful to behold.

And Sandra Bullock is fantastic in it.
