I just bought a Voigtalander R 4 A with a Nokton 40 mm f1,4 lens from amazon.
Did I waste my money or hould I have bought the 50 mm f1,1 lens?
Joel, the 40 is, like, one of the best lenses out there, dollar-for-dollar! Excellent choice.
Peter: this is beautiful; almost (…dare I say it? 🙂 ) film-like.
Among my (ever-growing) list of personal favorites.

Yes….. a great or should I say decisive “moment”! You have to love the range of emotions children display…..or not in this case :-)…..
Joel I can’t comment on either lens but give it a go and you can always sell it and try another one…..particularly with the Voitgalander….great value for money. Mark swears by it and I know Peter has also had a great experience using this lens…as they say….the best of both worlds (35mm and 50mm).
