Socrates & Eminem.

Inspiration, Teaching point

“Well I am certainly wiser than this man. It is only too likely that neither of us has any knowledge to boast of; but he thinks that he knows something which he does not know, whereas I am quite conscious of my ignorance. At any rate it seems that I am wiser than he is to this small extent, that I do not think that I know what I do not know.”

—Socrates  (470 – 399 BC)

“At least I know that I don’t know

Question is are you bozos smart enough to feel stupid…”

—Eminem, Berzerk (2013)

knowing what i don’t know as a pediatrician has helped me prepare an early referral of a child to a higher centre and a resultant better outcome 🙂

At his trial, Socrates was asked to suggest his own punishment. He proposed a government pension and free dinners for life. Lacking both his forward thinking and any semblance of a sense of humor, the Athenian Council ordered him to drink poison instead.

Rumors of Eminem’s stabbing seem to have been greatly exaggerated.

Where is Roger Waters when you need him?
