My second favorite C portrait (after True). The delightful warmth of the light softens her somewhat reserved expression; and is that maybe just a hint of an “oh no, Dad with the camera again” smile at the corner of her mouth?

My children grew up with my aiming Leicas (and several other cameras) at them and behaved,
for the most part, as though the camera weren’t there.
“Sombre” and “Much Younger” are lovely photographs of a lovely little girl. They do seem to grow up quickly, no?
