I photograph to remember
I photograph to forget
I photograph to see
I photograph to disappear
I photograph to celebrate
I photograph to mourn
I photograph to share
I photograph to be selfish
I photograph to be

Your vulnerability Peter is both courageous and gracious! Given how life has unfolded for you and all the thinking, attempts to find balance, move forward, etc I find the fact you have shared this inspirational in itself.

You have summed up the reason’s I also like to make images and the conflicting reasons, are the same. Albeit my path has been different to yours (you never know what’s around the corner though).
Dear Peter,
I have not written for quite some time but I always visit.
Thanks for sharing what are deep inside you through your philosophy & passion of photography. I read this & can feel for that. I had this query while reading it. How do you separate this photography passion from work passion. Or, will the hobby affect your work or daily life when you spend so much time & soul in it? How can you balance it? I am a little shameful as I am in such situation that I spend my effort & mind mostly in the hobby; may be as an escape.
Appreciate your kind thought!
Michael.
Beautifully said.
Bien dit. I’m sure I’m not alone in saying I’m glad you’re you.
