The replacement to my defective Monochrom has arrived. I’m not exactly sure what I’ll be doing with this thing, but I know it will take me in a different direction.
Another test shot (no burnt pixels, yay!).
↑Leica Monochrom and Leica 90mm Summicron APO @ f/2.

How did you detect those dead pixel earlier, and what made you do that?
I noticed it while photographing and processing images.
Not sure about the M9 version also has the similar defects?
It can. This can happen to all sensors.
Thanks. Em looking around for a mint M9
Congrats with your new MM:-)! Looking forward to which direction it’s going to take you.
Thank you Jeroen.
The interaction between photographer and equipment is interesting. While he or she may find that certain equipment suits their vision or even encourages the exploration of new paths along that vision, it is always the vision that predominates, not the equipment. Perhaps a bit like the Eagles lyric :”…she can’t take you anyway, you don’t already know how to go…” but the going is more fun with some than with others. Hope you enjoy the trip.
Thanks Greg. So far it’s not happening. I’m hopeful though.
