Really nice! — and no crop applied I supose (the edges have the peculiar effect of your lens) which reveals a skilled shooter.

Peter, we’re already in 2013 or am I missing something? 🙂

Mmmm….wow. A very unique photo. The PP is also special…..the tones and subtle mix of colours from the bird and bohek are a really nice mix. The light coming through the webbed feet and feathers add those finishing touches.

      Hi Andrew. Thank you kindly.

The post-processing on this one was minimal. I wish all of my images were this easy to work with… I was fortunate to have captured a wonderful moment.

That’s even better re PP! Your excitement levels must have been elevated when this popped up on the screen!

Worthy of nomination to World Wildlife Photography Awards!

Bah! It’s junk! You didn’t get the whole bird in!

Heh heh…gorgeous work Peter. That bird must have been RIGHT there!

    All the best,
    M.

I just want to leave a comment here; I always refer this shot to my friends “take a photo like that and live happily ever after!”

I am fortunate to have done it, and the lens I used to do it with is long gone, so reading your comment is bitter-sweet. However, I thank you for leaving me such a beautiful comment.
