Peter I’ve always been scared to shoot into the sun… Fearful that nothing would be recorded on the film or sensor, things would be blown out.
Also, the main thing I knew about photography years ago was, “Make sure the sun is behind you when you take the shot.” (Any truth in that?)
Your 15mm-series give me the courage to shoot directly and indirectly into the sun… Any tips?
BTW, if shooting into the sun is OK, why do shooters strap hoods and lenses to their cameras?
kenrockwell.com has a positive take on this camera… In conclusion he write, “The biggest thing I don’t like about this lens is trying to figure out how I’m going to justify keeping a Leica 21mm f/2.8 ASPH, or bothering to buy the Leica 18mm f/3.8 which undoubtedly will block its own viewfinder and has more distortion.”
Thank you John.
So many questions, my friend! I couldn’t possibly answer all of them here (though I have tried many times before)!
PS. John, I like your version of the title.
My Dear Peter,
I call it a great concatenation of images … You just show with your beautiful pictures the magical power of this that is the focal 15 mm. These last 2 pictures are truly a feast for the eye! And They are very different from what you usually offers us … While keeping the “magic Peter.”
Very nice my friend.
Also, as always, your PP is remarkable …
Spent a beautiful Sunday Family …
Your friend Hugues.
Thank you dear Hugues… you are always kind to me.
Again as always (!), an amazing caputere of a little life moment! Beautiful and inspirational at the same time
