Another most enjoyable image. I have always enjoyed the images you make from the 50 lux asph so am glad to see that you have your hands on one again.

Thanks Guy! But… I’m just trying it out again, not sure if I really want it. Other then yesterday’s and today’s image, there haven’t been any other keepers for me. Not sure why I’m not entirely clicking with this lens, in contrast to the 35/1.4 and 75/1.4. I guess the 50mm field of view is not doing it for me these days… and even when I had my M8, the 50 ‘lux behaved as a 67mm lens.

This really is a magical shot, I’m two weeks away from having my hands on the 50 Lux, seeing the focus and bokeh of your image fills me with excitement. Before the arrival of my M9, 35mm was my focal length of choice, now I’m a 50mm & 75mm man….my 35 Cron is my least used lens. I expect it to change again with time. The world of focal lengths can be a fickle one…..Thanks Jason

I have to admit, it’s in this kind of shot that the 50’lux ASPH just *works*, despite my criticism that it is “too perfect” (and thus a little visually boring). I hope your lens arrives in 2 weeks, as anticipated, and that you derive great enjoyment from it Jason!
