Count me interested.
Ricci’s initial impressions demonstrate 3 things:
- It’s sharper @f/2.8 than the Nikon Z 28/2.8 âś…
- It’s bokeh is not quite as smooth as the Nikon Z 28/2.8 ❌
- It’s AF motor is noisier ❌
We already knew it was smaller ✅ and more expensive ❌.
Looking forward to more reviews, as I want to pair this with my Z 40/2.

My camera of the year for 2022 is the Nikon Z9.
To date, this is the most capable camera I have ever used.
I have always loved Nikon’s pro series cameras (and I still use the D4), but this is the first one that allows me to shoot silently.
