I see this finds you well and documenting life in your unique style, as per usual. Fantastic.
How some other things have changed though.
Beautiful Honey has lived a full life now, though no doubt with you in spirit. I’m sorry to have seen this, but you all have had blessed lives having each other over those years.
Your youngest is going to university! Wow.
As to camera’s there is change afoot here as well. I see you fully in the Fuji camp, and love it.
I have not had a camera in my possession for years now and not meaningfully made images for about 8 years. Though the fire is starting burn again.
And yes – Hasselblad – well done. This piece of equipment is on the list of options for me, given the Mkii.
Take care Peter, and I’ll stay in touch and keep you posted on my return to photography adventures.
Cheers
Andy
Andy, is that really you???!!!!
I’ve been looking for you, wondering what the hell happened to you. It’s so NICE to hear from you. What a gift on an otherwise melancholic day.
—Peter.
Yes – it is me. But I have no idea what that name tag is above :-)! I’ll have to look into that.
I’ve been in the photography ‘wilderness’ (and life’s) – until now.
I’m so glad you’re back, though the wilderness part sounds like you may have been through some turmoil. Sorry to hear that. I’ll send you a private message.
You had the biggest impact and influence on my photography Peter. Since 2013 I have been taking pictures of my family and everyday life with a Leica M9. No plans to change it. Regarding lenses I settled with screw Mount lenses Like the 85mm Summarex.
cordial greetings from Germany
Matthias
Awesome Matthias, it means so much to me to learn that! Sometimes it seems like I’m speaking into the void.
Now, regarding gear, the M9 was all I ever needed. It’s the only camera by Leica that I would buy today if they still sold it new. They never did acknowledge the open letter I wrote to them, back when the M240 was introduced, or since.
