Peter: I love this image. Not only is it an interesting composition, but I just love the color. It’s a great example of how you take the very ordinary and make it extraordinary. I am still intrigued by the Taste of Danforth series. It’s a very interesting and unique idea, not to mention a great way to spend a day shooting pictures. Sometimes we street photographers spend too much idle time with our cameras waiting for those special shots which are more likely to come if we just keep on shooting and not waiting.
Thanks so much George! You’re so right about “just keep on shooting”. This whole series was done over the course of a couple of hours on a summer’s evening, as.I walked around “just shooting”. I lucked out though, because the sky was an interesting mix of purple/dark storm clouds on one half, and bright sunshine and puffy white clouds on the other half! It created some dramatic lighting and backdrops.
