I love Latin. Eventually I’ll teach myself up to at least a basic level. It is officially a ‘dead’ language, but it shouldn’t be shunned ipso facto. Latin should be taught de jure in all English speaking countries.
I admit I have a thing for French, too. But the point I want to make is that just because we speak English doesn’t mean we don’t have to learn another language. But we have a small luxury: we get to choose which one that is.
