Peter, this series continues to be wonderful. Question. Do you use UV filters on your lenses? I continue to use them on my Lux 35 and Lux 50 only for the purpose of protection. For awhile, I took them off to gain light when shooting indoors but decided to put them back on. Your thoughts?
Yes, I use them as you do, for protection.
I strongly recommend everyone keeps these on their lenses. I had my 50mm Lux drop out of my bag whilst arranging some gear. It hit the ground relatively hard! The result…a dinted and damaged UV filter where the lenses landed on the edge of the front side to lens.
Result: a perfectly healthly 50 Lux lens and a not so good looking UV filter!
