I have been tempted of late Peter to pick one up. To have over $5,500 worth of lenses (50mm Lux ASPH and 24mm Elmar) to use on my year of “film only” is not making a lot of sense to me at the moment. Hence this lens has come to mind. If I still owned the MM, or an M9 or 240 it’s a no brainer..they are keepers!
I used to own the 35mm Color Skopar 2.5 and edge to edge is a lens I highly recommend. What I personally didn’t like was the fact it was a touch too small in pancake terms and therefore ergonomically just didn’t get there for me. Apart from the fact 35mm is not really a preference.
I guess it’s worth pointing out that you might go back to a digital Leica some day, but… I hear you.
Oh that will certainly happen…for sure! But not for another 12 months! So that’s why I’m “thinking, thinking”!
Peter I got the a7r now . I m very impressed when tested it with leica lens . How would it be with this nokton 40 mm
My favorite is the 50mm Cron. Also have a 35mm M-mount Biogon on an A7 which is also pretty good.
