Another “winter hat portrait”… it’s supposed to be spring, but it sure doesn’t feel like it.
On another note, I’m hooked on the look of medium format film.
All else doesn’t quite measure up.
Now I’m in trouble.

Lovely. I do have a Minolta TLR but unfortunately the labs do not process 120 film anymore.
Yes, the labs have mostly gone away, and the remaining local ones do not inspire confidence. If it wasn’t for my home developing, I’d have given up on film.
Yep……just love the tones and rendering this is putting out Peter. Very very nice. Your daughters glasses add a nice touch to this portrait.
Mamiya 7 is finally on the way! MM….on the way out!
It’s got a CCD sensor…interested 😉
Congratulations Andrew! The Mamiya 7 is something I’ve considered getting a thousand times before. And now that I’ve experienced the breadth and beauty of 6×7 film with the RZ67, I’m even more tempted.
As for your question, I’m ALWAYS interested in a CCD sensor camera, but film will always be the ultimate medium for my B&W work.
I can see why…..:-)
I can only agree, it’s why Ive got, and use 4 different blads. nearly always with TriX but sometimes with HP5. Tmax100 when processed right is also very nice for landscapes. There is something about Medium Format black and white film that digital (at least to me) cannot reach. Its a bit like really good vinyl record replay compared to the very best CD. I’ve got both but I prefer the sound of the vinyl. It’s nice to see your film work developing (no pun intended).
I’m not about to sell my MM though, or the M9 come to that, I just like the colour from it.
