I’m taking a break from my Window Portrait series to post this image from yesterday’s festivities. One more tomorrow too.

Trick ‘r’ Treat
Better than floss-for-candy
At the dentist’s house,
Momma N, some short
Of Charmin and Snickers,
Tangled all in rain
For mischief night, and slipped
Into our goody bags
Just what we’d always wanted…
Mud, for Halloween.
🙂
Than you Greg. Here’s mud in your eye 😉
Great smile and great photograph.
I did a silly thing yesterday and dusted off my dslr for halloween: thinking the kids would be moving fast and it was dark.
But I’m not happy with a single photograph I took even with autofocus and speedy dslr glass.
Lesson learned.
Thank you Bijan.
You bring up an excellent point. In fact, a number of years ago, when my kids started playing soccer, I re-entered the DSLR world (thinking I would need a “fast” camera). I ended up with a few nice images over a several week period. One day, I brought my M9 instead, and ended up with more keepers than I had up until that point!
That’s when I learned *my* lesson…
100% agree Bijan. Many people could have taken that DSLR and produced incredible images. However it’s about the individual photographer having a connection. A RF can make the brain work differently (it has to compared to AF) then it will make you “feel” (I only say “feel”and not that “it will” because others will feel more connected with different tools) like you are more connected and subsequently for some people it’ll be a better experience with better results.
Granted this works exactly the other way for other people from DSLR, P&S, MF, etc….
Yes indeed, the photographer-camera interface/connection is more important than the specification/capabilities of the camera itself.
Cher Peter,
beautiful, your first pictures with the “M”!
I do not know about you? …. but I’m starting to love this camera …
I wish you a beautiful autumn!
Warm regards.
Hugues.
Thank you dear Hugues. The camera is very easy to like, it’s the image quality I’m learning to appreciate 😉
