It’s unusual for me to post two versions of an image, but this time I couldn’t decide.

I prefer the one in colour.. 🙂
Great shot, Peter.
in this case, I prefer the color because to me, is stronger.
I like it much.
Another vote for color. I understand the hesitation though.
I agree with color, with this type of scene. Your raw conversion/post process has a very natural as shot look. Very nicely done.
i like the color 🙂
5/5 prefer the colour version – I guess it’s obvious which one I *should* have posted!
Thanks everybody,
—Peter.
I read the comments above before looking at the two versions, I almost always prefer B&W images, here though I have to agree, color is stronger. It was great to see both versions.
Cheers
Jason
Thanks Jason, seems to be unanimous…
By the way, congratulations on your LFI shot “I see you”!
Peter.
Thanks Peter
The color version is slightly better, but I also love the b&w version! Thanks for posting both versions.
What do you think overall of the 35 Summilux II?
Thanks Bryan! Posting more than one version is something I avoid… perhaps I should reconsider that policy.
The 35/1.4 FLE is incredible… it is leaps and bounds above any other lens I’ve ever used. I thought the 50/1.4 was as close to perfection as anybody has ever gotten, but this lens is a notch above that.
Great colour version, and I’m usually prefer mono.
My local dealer lent me a current 35/1.4 Aspheric one afternon when I was carrying my Ikon. The scans certainly had a lot of ‘pop’ when I processed the roll (Portra 160).
Thanks Mike. I don’t doubt for a second that there was more “pop” in the images – this lens is somewhat hyper-real in its rendering.
nice shot! like this kind of shot, may i know where you focus on the composition always ? or you use zoom focus on this scene
Thanks Benny. This shot was composed as you see it, using a 35mm prime.
