Would have been cool to have heard your “one reason or another” for excluding them from the first list but including them here.
I guess, Guy, it comes down to what I wrote about the selection process being arbitrary. A few of these could have been included (to the exclusion of others – if I was limiting the list to 25 ) but, the rest, I guess, I believed did not necessarily have a universal appeal. Many of them are personal shots (as were many in the first 25) that I believed – rightly or wrongly – would not communicate to, or resonate with, an audience not familiar with the people being photographed… In short, I believed they were appealing on a personal level but I wasn’t sure that they would be appealing on a universal level.
