A scene from a movie: the camera will slowly fade from his face to hers for reaction and then merge frame over frame even more slowly to the rain drops running down the kitchen window pane… or to the young girl listening unseen at the door… or (for those less “noire”) a shot of sprinklers running in yard after suburban yard…
Perhaps I should simply have said, “How wonderfully evocative”?
